DSA Process
1. Data Collection
![ACO‘s team undertake a holistic evaluation of the drainage system and relevant factory infrastructure. In preparation for this, we ask customers to provide key information and data in advance, including details of the plant and equipment layout, the information technology employed, the floor structure and operational data.](https://www.aco.co.za/fileadmin/user_upload/BD_Service_DSA_01_-_small_600x400.jpg?fileVersion=1614684078)
2. Data Analysis
![Collected data is evaluated in ACO’s DSA system for review by our team of hygienic engineering and design experts.
This team analyses the information and the evaluates drainage systems’ performance against the key performance criteria required by your facility.
They then compile key recommendations. These recommendations are presented to and evaluated with the customer’s team against its own production processes and local requirements.](https://www.aco.co.za/fileadmin/user_upload/csm_BD_Service_-_main_600x400.jpg?fileVersion=1614684283)
Final Reports
![Comprehensive reports will highlight key issues and potential as agreed with the client. ACO will provide a corrective action plan as agreed with the customer.](https://www.aco.co.za/fileadmin/user_upload/BD_Service_DSA_03b_-_small_600x400.jpg?fileVersion=1614685334)
3. Findings Evaluation
![A team of hygienic engineering and design experts identify key risk points within the drainage system and compile a list of recommendations to address these issues and optimise hygienic performance. These recommendations are presented to and evaluated with the customer’s team against its own production process and local requirements.](https://www.aco.co.za/fileadmin/_processed_/1/a/csm_BD_Service_DSA_03_-_small_600x400_83436ddcea.jpg?fileVersion=1628505742)

DSA is an independent consultative activity. Our service team is capable to assess the food production environment with focus on drainage system, floors, walls, general cleanliness and facility (technology) layout. The ACO Drainage System Assessment (ACO DSA) comprises a complex evaluation of the existing drainage system and surrounding environment including production and service technologies and its impact on potential risks within food processing plants. This evaluation also covers risks arising from drainage integration, and floor and wall quality.
The DSA identifies drainage issues found and describes their impact on production from the point of view of:
The views of the client in combination with the opinions of our expert team, local experience and industry best practice, are considered when identifying current and potential risks. Any issues found are processed by means of ACO‘s original software applications and a Corrective Action Plan is released to minimise all risks, develop more effective maintenance schedules and, if required, propose future investments to the client.
There are three main aspects assessed: Hygiene, Safety (Health and Safety and Food Safety) and Operation (Operational Continuity). Based on these findings our service team generates a protocol and recommends a corrective action plan.

DSA is an independent observation and evaluation of entire food production process especially in regard of wastewater management and its interaction with drainage system. The outcome of the DSA is a comprehensive report and corrective action plan (CAP) that enables:
